Hotel with the most beautiful view - Bevanda Opatija (SLO&ENG)

Spomnim se, ko sem videla fotografijo sončnega vzhoda v tem hotelu in si rekla, da si tukaj predstavljam sebe, kako poslušam morske valove in se prebujam ob sončnem vzhodu. Lahko si predstavljate, kako vesela sem bila, ko me je fant presenetil z rezervacijo tega hotela za najino 6 obletnico. Komaj sem čakala, da končno pridem tja. Ker sem dobila kar nekaj vprašanj o mojem bivanju v Bevandi sem se odločila, da spišem blog objavo, kjer boste izvedeli vse kar vas zanima.

I remember when I saw a photo of the sunrise in this hotel and said to myself that I can definitely picture myself listening to the waves, falling asleep to the sunset and waking up to the sunrise. You can imagine how happy I was when my boyfriend surprised me with booking this hotel for our 6th anniversary. I just could not wait to finally get there. Since many of you asked me some questions about my stay in Bevanda, I decided to write a blog post and tell you all about it.

KAJ JE BEVANDA IN KJE SE NAHAJA / WHAT IS BEVANDA AND WHERE IT IS SITUATED

Bevanda ni običajen hotel. Ne samo zaradi visokih cen nočitev, ampak zaradi pogleda, ki je vreden vsakega eura. Nahaja se v Opatiji, le dobro uro in pol iz Ljubljane. Tudi, če vam je Bevanda cenovno prevelik zalogaj, je Opatija vsekakor vredna obiska. Je prvi design hotel s petimi zvezdicami na severnem Jadranu in je del verige Relais Chateaux. Najprej so leta 1971 odprli restavracijo, nato pa še hotel, torej imajo več kot 40 letno tradicijo. In verjemite mi, z gosti vsekakor znajo ravnati.

Bevanda is a special hotel. Not only because of the high prices for overnight stays but because of the view that is worth every euro. It is located in Opatija, only an hour and a half from Ljubljana. Even if Bevanda is a bit too expensive for you, Opatija is definitely worth a visit. Bevanda is the first five-star design hotel in the northern Adriatic and it is a part of Relais Chateaux. First, they opened a restaurant in 1971, followed by a hotel, therefore, they have more than 40-year tradition.

Restavracija / Restaurant

KAJ JE TAKO POSEBNEGA V BEVANDI / WHAT IS SO SPECIAL ABOUT BEVANDA

Bevanda je majhen hotel, saj ima samo 10 luksuznih sob, razporejenih v dveh nadstropjih. Vsaka od teh je poimenovana po umetniku, ki je med obiskom Opatije našel navdih za svoje delo. Midva sva bivala v sobi imenovani Gustav Mahler, ta je na prvem nadstropju, na vogalu direktno nad restavracijo. Težko je pojasniti kaj je tako posebnega, ker je že sam občutek, ki ga dobiš ko prvič vstopiš v sobo in hotel neverjeten. Ker je hotel stacioniran čisto ob morju, ima vseh 12 njihovih sob krasen pogled na morje, v daljavi pa se vidi Rijeka, Istra in otočki. Enako velja tudi za restavracijo, iz katere se skozi velika steklena okna vidi potka, ki vodi vse okoli riviere. Brez skrbi, čeprav ima soba ogromna steklena okna, nudi dovolj zasebnosti, saj so balkončki zagrajeni. Vsaka soba ima balkon, in sicer ima deluxe večjega z 2 ležalnikoma, mizico in stoloma, manjše in cenejše sobe pa imajo manjše balkone. Ampak ker sva bila midva tam v februarju nama velikost balkona ni bila tako pomembna.

Bevanda is a small hotel, with only 10 luxury rooms arranged on two floors. Each of these is named after an artist who found inspiration during his visit to Opatija. We stayed in a room named Gustav Mahler, which was situated on the first floor, on the corner directly above the restaurant. It's hard to explain what is so special about the hotel because it's the very feeling you get when you first enter the room and the hotel. Since Bevanda is located just by the sea, all their 12 rooms have a magnificent view. In the distance, you can see Rijeka, Istria and nearby islands. The same goes for a restaurant, from which you can see the seaside when you are eating a meal. All rooms are modernly decorated. Do not worry, although the rooms have huge glass windows, the room offers enough of privacy because the balconies have a high fence. Each room has a balcony, the deluxe has a larger one with 2 sunbeds, a table and 2 chairs, and the cheaper rooms have smaller balconies. But since we were there in February the size of the balcony did not really matter to us.

KAKŠNA JE CENA IN KAJ ZAJEMA / WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE

Bevanda je petzvezdični butični hotel verige Relais & Châteaux, zato so tudi cene malo višje. Na Bookingu in na uradni spletni strani Bevande so objavljene vse cene za njihove sobice. Bevanda ima 4 vrste sob, in sicer: majhna dvoposteljna soba, superior dvoposteljna soba, deluxe dvoposteljna soba in deluxe suita. Midva sva bivala v deluxe dvoposteljni sobi. Vse sobe imajo pogled na morje, deluxe dvoposteljna in deluxe suita imata jacuzzi, majhna dvoposteljna in superior soba pa imata kopalno kad. Prav tako je v ponudbo torej v nočitev vključen tudi zajtrk.

Najina soba je imela poleg jacuzzija še tuš, televizijo, kavni avtomat, grelnik vode, ter čaje in med. Zraven dobite 2 kopalna plašča in brisače, poleg tega pa še Lanvin kozmetiko ter higienski set. Skratka vse imaš tam.

V poletni sezoni so cene zares visoke, za Deluxe sobo boste v poletnih mesecih odšteli 500 eur na noč, v zimskih mesecih se cena prepolovi in znaša 250 eur na noč. Je pa poleti veliko večji "filing", ker lahko uporabljaš ležalnike in mizico na terasi.

Bevanda is a five-star Relais & Châteaux boutique hotel, so prices are of course a bit higher. On Booking and Bevanda's official website you can find a price list for all of their rooms. Bevanda has 4 types of rooms: a small double room, superior double room, a deluxe double room and deluxe suite. We stayed in a deluxe double room. All rooms have a sea view, a deluxe double room and deluxe suite have a jacuzzi, while the small double room and superior room have a bathtub. Breakfast is included in the prince. In addition to the jacuzzi, our room also had a shower, television, coffee maker, water heater, and teas and honey. You also get 2 bathrobes and towels, plus Lanvin cosmetics and a hygiene set. Basically, you get everything.

In the summer season, the prices are really high, Deluxe double room will cost you 500 euros per night in the summer months, and in the winter months, the price is 250 euros per night. If you have a chance visit Bevanda in the summer because of it that way you can use the sunbeds on the sunny terrace.

KAJ PA HRANA? WHAT ABOUT THE FOOD?

Hrana je v Bevandi zelo okusna. Kot sem napisala sva midva imela v ceno vključen zajtrk, za večerjo pa sva imela 3-hodni meni. Zajtrk je samopostrežen in tam je vse, kar ti srce poželi. Od slanih do sladkih jedi. Meni je bil zajtrk najljubši, ker je bila ponudba res raznovrstna in dobra. Za večerjo sva imela meni s tremi hodi, torej predjed, glavna jed in sladica. Na voljo sta bila 2 ribja in 1 mesni, oba sta zelo okusna. Ob večerji je pijača za doplačilo. Ambient je krasen, in osebje lepo poskrbi zate. Sama restavracija je nekaj posebnega, saj ima pogled na morje in visoke steklene stene, zato je v njej lepa svetloba skozi ves dan. Cene hrane so malo višje kot v običajnih restavracijah, a z razlogom, saj jedi niso običajne, ampak zares dovršene. Cene glavnih jedi se gibljejo od 15 eur naprej.

The food is very tasty in Bevanda restaurant. As I said, we had breakfast included in the price. Breakfast is self-service and there is everything your heart desires. From salty to sweet dishes. Breakfast was definitely my favourite because everything was very delicious. For dinner, we had a 3-course menu. Ambient is gorgeous, and the staff really treats you well. The restaurant itself is something special because it has a sea view and high glass walls, so it has beautiful light throughout the day. Food prices are a little higher than in conventional restaurants, but for a reason, because the dishes are really sophisticated. Prices of main courses range from 15 euros on.

JE VREDNO CENE? IS IT WORTH THE PRICE?

Ja, ja in še enkrat ja. Vsekakor bi si težko privoščila kot študentka eno-tedenski oddih v poletnih mesecih v tem hotelu, ker so cene vrtoglave, ampak dvodnevni oddih je vreden svoje cene. Zaradi neverjetnega razgleda, jacuzzija s pogledom na morje, najbolj okusne hrane in tega dih jemajočega občutka. Saj se samo enkrat živi, zakaj si nebi vsake toliko privoščili nekaj tako posebnega.

Yes, yes and yes. It would be difficult to afford a one week stay in a hotel like this because the prices are too damn high, but a two-day stay is worth its price. Due to an amazing view, jacuzzi with a sea view, great food, luxurious feeling and location by the sea. You only live once, so why not enjoy something so luxurious as this. SPREHOD PO OPATIJI / A WALK AROUND OPATIJA

Da povzamem, Opatija je čudovita. Navdušena sem bila nad celotno riviero, potko Lungomare, ki vodi vse okoli Opatije ob morju, krasnim parkom, lepimi hoteli in lokalčki, barvnimi stavbami in mestnim šarmom. V mestu je fina pekarna, več trgovinic priznanih blagovnih znamk, lokalov. Jaz sem slučajno našla Milenij Choco svijet, majhno trgovinico s čokoladnimi izdelki. Vsekakor priporočam obisk. Tudi cerkev Sv. Jakova je prelepa.

As I mentioned, Opaitja is gorgeous. I was impressed by the whole Riviera, a paved path by the sea that goes all around Opatija, beautiful park, many hotels and cafes, colourful buildings and the city charm. In the city there is a fine bakery and several shops of well-known brands. I accidentally found the Milenij Choco world, a small shop with chocolate products. I definitely recommend a visit.
